We try to do a family night every other week. We trade who is in charge of the night. I try and make family night extra special especially when I’m in charge of it.
We do movie night about once a month! Usually we just put the couch cushions on the floor and cover them with several blankets and pillows. This time I made a blanket fort with a snack stand. Add your favorite drinks and snacks. Don’t forget the popcorn!! Try out some carmel popcorn. My kids were so excited to see the living room transformed into our family night. The blanket fort and the snack stand made this night extra special.
We had a meat lover style pizza and a chicken, spinach and dried tomato pizza for dinner! So tasty and yummy!!
Meat lovers Style Pizza
1/2 batch of Pizza dough
1 c Mozzarella
3/4 c Pizza sauce
Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon, Ham, Grounded beef and Salami
Roll out the pizza dough. Add the pizza sauce and spread out leaving about 1/2 inch of around the border of the crust. Sprinkle on the cheese and then add the meats.
Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes. I start keeping an eye on the pizza around 10 minutes. Depending on how thick the crust is, is how long it with take to cook.
Chicken, spinach and Sun dried tomato Pizza
1/2 batch of Pizza Dough
3/4 c Cooked Chicken breast strips
1 c Spinach
1 c Mozzarella
1/2 c Sun dried tomatoes
1/2 c Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce or 1/4 c Garlic Butter
Roll out pizza dough. Spread garlic sauce leaving a border around the pizza. Sprinkle the cheese. Add the chicken, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes.
Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Creamy Garlic Sauce
2 Tbs Butter
4 cloves Garlic minced
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Oregano flakes
1 c Milk
1/2 c Parmesan Cheese
3 Tbs Flour
In a skillet, mix butter, garlic, pepper, oregano and milk. Heat over medium heat. When the mixture is well mixed and heated add the flour and cheese. Stir making sure the sauce doesn’t get clumps. The sauce take a few minutes to be done.
Oooh, your pizza sounds awesome. We love making our own pizzas here and make them probably once a week! Yum.

I love movie nights. We always get a Redbox and cozy up on the couch. We have made pizzas once from scratch, that was an experience!

That pizza looks delicious! Movie nights are the best, and I bet the kids have a blast. I’m single and have no kids, so most of my movie nights are spent alone. I do still have the occasional movie night with my dad though, just like we did when I was a kid.
